We ask all individual volunteers to attend volunteer orientation prior to volunteering on our build site. At orientation we share the history of Habitat and our local affiliate, what some of our goals are, what is the definition of affordable housing, how Habitat supports advocacy, where our donations come from and how we spend our funds, all of our volunteer opportunities, and have you fill out an application. Once you attend orientation you will be in our database to receive information about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities!
You only need to attend one time no matter how many years you volunteer. Group leaders are invited to attend, to gather information to share with group members, prior to their build day.
Orientations are held at our Administrative offices, 3763 Forest Park Ave., St. Louis MO 63108. Please park along the street at the meters and NOT in the ReStore parking lot adjacent to the building.
IMPORTANT NOTE: RSVP early as we will close each Orientation registration once it has reached 80 participants. If you are interested in High School Community Service, please make sure you plan your time to attend one of our Orientations. Students must be in charge of their own community service, not the parents. Email can be accessed at any time of day! Due to the limited opportunities for construction volunteers on Saturdays, community service volunteers need to consider signing up for site support, office help, or volunteering in our ReStore.
